
The 175 years old hospital, is offering medical students from all over the world, attachment to its residents. This attachment allows you, not only to observe, but also to have a part in investigating, diagnosis and treatment of the patients attending the
Kasr Al Ainy Hospitals.
Whatever department you choose to get enrolled in, you will be scheduled in its shifts, engaged in the management of its cases and handling assigned responsibilities. Through this unique program, you will get exposed daily to the most enormous number of cases ever met in an educational hospital in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa, besides the exposure to unusual diseases and infections which are hardly met at other parts of the world.
Each participant will be attached to a resident in the department of his choice. Together they will share the responsibilities, from preparing staff rounds, scheduling surgeries, following up with cases, interpreting investigative findings, assisting in surgeries and all kind of responsibilities and duties which might be confronted by a Kasr Al Ainy resident, all under the prestigious staff's supervision.
Who can apply for this program?
This is an every medical student program. As long as you are enrolled in a clinical grade in any medical school, or you are a medical post graduate, then, you have this opportunity to seize.
What are the available departments?
Through this program, you have the availability to be attached to any of the departments belonging to the Kasr Al Ainy Hospitals.
Working hours:
Just to put into consideration: This is a very serious program with strict working hours and responsibilities. It might be exhausting with average of 42 working hours a week considering night shifts. This is a real scientific program, though arrangements for social outings will be offered.
Reporting, feedback and certification:
Regular feedback is asked from the participants, as evaluation for the whole program is done on regular basis for the participants as well as for the program organization. At the end of the program, the participant will receive a certificate according to his/her working hours and evaluation.
Costs:
Registration fees are of 230 Euros/month. This fee includes:

Accommodation and social program are not included in the registration fees, though EMSA would be pleased to help in arrangement of a cosy place to stay for a reasonable price according to your budget.
